Rumson Rec basketball officially got underway on January 10th after a long hiatus. Despite the break, the players didn’t miss a step as the Forrestdale, Deane Porter and RCDS gyms were filled with Slam Dunks, Alley-Oops and long range 3-pointers.

For many players in the Kindergarten sessions, it was their first time on the hardcourt. Yet , they skillfully dribbled, passed and shot liked skilled veterans. Our 1st and 2nd graders (in their purple or orange) also lit it up, skillfully managing their stations and enjoying some fun games as well.

Though opening week, our 3rd through 8th graders were in mid season form as the games were filled with high intensity action.

Enjoy some of our action shots from the first weekend of games and feel free to send additional photos to the Rumson Rec Dept as well.
